The Procedure: What to Expect

Patients receive general anesthesia during Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation®, and it will take approximately one hour to complete. In addition to the anesthesia, I will provide you with a pudendal block for further comfort. This is a targeted nerve block that will alleviate pain in the pelvic region. ⁽²⁾

I will then use the laser to perform your desired corrections. I can excise any excess vaginal tissue in the area, tighten the vaginal canal, and rebuild the perineal area. With treatment complete, you will briefly rest before returning home.

The Recovery Process

After your procedure, you will need to take some time away from your responsibilities and commitments. Your pudendal block will continue to alleviate any pain for up to 24 hours, but you may use prescribed medications to address any other discomfort you may experience.

You can return to work and other light tasks after resting for approximately one week, but you will need to refrain from any physical or sexual activities for another five weeks, or until I have cleared you to return.
